Technology for Toddlers?
July 31st 2004, 06:53 CEST by Jibble Kids learn a lot through manipulation of our three-dimensional world. If you've ever sat down for a four-hour session of repetitive video gaming, you know what I'm getting at here. Are kids really learning anything from all of those kid-oriented web sites, or are they just learning how to jump through the right hoop and then doing it over and over without additional challenge? Do you think that the family discussed in the article is a typical example, or an exception to the norm? |

For it to be a job you would have to get paid. How to resolve this
Ignore all warnings. |

Go work on your dragon game. Loved everything more than anything.

It's done! How to resolve this

Damn that was fast, lwf's got mad management skillz. MP3 of the week: The Bees - A Minha Menina.mp3
Maybe he should get a job with 3DRealms. That's just the kind of management help they appear to need. The media doesn't educate, it sensationalizes. That's why there's no learning curve, just repeated bouts of gross stupidity. Bailey

Here is some of my pixel art that is already uploaded for viewing. My newest, and some of my best, stuff is at home and is not online. I'll post it tonight. In approximate order of creation: http://www.penguinx.org/ALIENWORLD.gif http://www.penguinx.org/pxavatar.gif http://www.penguinx.org/workplace.gif http://www.penguinx.org/colored_hideout.gif http://www.penguinx.org/holovision-on.gif http://www.penguinx.org/Robotagain.gif http://www.penguinx.org/Hispanic-PC200 http://www.penguinx.org/Mummy.gif http://www.penguinx.org/Mummy02.gif http://www.penguinx.org/Rayavatar.gif http://www.penguinx.org/dack_idle_turn.gif http://www.penguinx.org/dack_shooting.gif And just for grins, here are some graphics I designed and stuck to my sled for all my snowmobiling needs. woow.. nice work, especially the alienworld. |
It's official. Penguinx has more talent in his pinky than the rest of you fucks combined. Bow immediately or be destroyed by pixely goodness. убийство!
Thanks. I'll post some newer stuff tonight. Alienworld is one of the first things I ever did. It is done only in a web-safe pallette and is kind of limited in scope because of that. I have been working on a lot of true-color game sprites lately that are almost done with their walkcycles, jumps, deaths, shots, etc. A few things here or there and I want to start seeking out programmers. I'd like to have my portion of the game almost completely done before I put up a site asking for help. "No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair." -General George S. Patton

Oh, hell yeah, PenguinX. "The Square who is not Cool with the double dipping pecker!"
Men like you built America, Penguin. убийство!

#87 Penguinx Thanks. I'll post some newer stuff tonight. Alienworld is one of the first things I ever did. The sign on the Psychic's window is awesome. Repeat after me--I am sofa king we Todd Ed.

Px- Did you get my e-mail address for that quote? That's a beautiful way to go. Shot by Yot. In more ways than one. -mgns
I wear my sunglasses at night. |
Oh, yes, I did. I forgot to email you back, however, as this weekend I spent over 30 hours working on horse arenas. I have the tan to prove it. I can do everything for a little under $30. I am assuming everything is four color. "No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair." -General George S. Patton

How about getting to work on our website for our comic, you filthy yokel! Loved everything more than anything.
See previous post. Read previous post. I had to sleep sometime you bastard! "No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair." -General George S. Patton
A tan huh? Sounds to me like you took a vacation. Loved everything more than anything.
Sure, it was a, a vacation, that's it. I did have a chance to read the last round of emails and the strips are actually funny. It's shocking! "No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair." -General George S. Patton
It's all about ME! ME! ME! with you, lwf, isn't it? That's a beautiful way to go. Shot by Yot. In more ways than one. -mgns
I wear my sunglasses at night. |
sometimes there's a him, a hem, and a haw involved too. By the way, if signatures weren't for perverts, I'd totally sig this.
Speaking of 'all about me,' this marks the first time I've ever used a picture of myself on an interweb forum. It's kinda creepy seeing all the little-me's staring back at, er, me. "No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair." -General George S. Patton

Px- E-mail me the final particulars, and let's see if we can do business. That's a beautiful way to go. Shot by Yot. In more ways than one. -mgns
I wear my sunglasses at night. |
I suppose I should update. Snowboarding season is months away. By the way, if signatures weren't for perverts, I'd totally sig this.
Penguinx I'd like your pixel art more if there was at least one Mario and/or Mickey picture. Pick me! Pick me!

Don't go to the darkside! Cold hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the color from our sight |

Jeet, be careful what you wish for. You may end up with the most obnoxiously pornographic Mario/Mickey combo ever conceived. This doesn't stem from disliking you, but rather and intense hatred of Mickey Mouse. "No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair." -General George S. Patton

It's kinda creepy seeing all the little-me's staring back at, er, me. Imagine how the rest of us feel. Owner of the Planetcrap FFL team, the Utah Teen Brides.

How the fuck can you hate Mickey Mouse? If you want to be trendy and hate the "Disney Corporation" I'll understand....but not liking Mickey is just wrong. Pick me! Pick me!
Jeet, be careful what you wish for. You may end up with the most obnoxiously pornographic Mario/Mickey combo ever conceived. Eh? That's what he IS wishing for. And shave your beard, out of the corner of my eye it looks like you've got a really high collar like you'd find in some budget sci-fi thing. Well I suppose you could keep it, but only if you start striding back and forth and rant about crushing the rebellion. MP3 of the week: The Bees - A Minha Menina.mp3

#107 Dumdeedum And shave your beard, out of the corner of my eye it looks like you've got a really high collar like you'd find in some budget sci-fi thing. Indeed. First 3 times I saw it out of the corner of my eye, I though I was looking at JC Denton. |
Where are the glowing blue eyes?? I ask for orange, it gives me lemon-lime! Pick me! Pick me!
That Alienworld one rocks. We should work in a metacomic in that style. |
Needs more lens flares and there's no bump mapping whatsoever! Pick me! Pick me!
I personally dislike the Mickey Mouse character. He's been transformed into the amorphous blob. It doesn't even remotely resemble a mouse. Also, I admire the work of the old school disney animators even if I don't care for the company itself. "No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair." -General George S. Patton
Mickey always seemed bland to me. I prefered the extended Donald Duck family and the retold fairy tales. Otherwise, give me Warners. |
He's gots big ears on! And a tail, too! Doesn't look like a mouse....indeed, sir! Pick me! Pick me!
You know what? Hitler didn't like Mickey Mouse, either! NAZI! Pick me! Pick me!
I was always more into Looney Tunes & Tom and Jerry. Specifically anything Chuck Jones or Tex Avery were connected to. "No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair." -General George S. Patton
I forgot to address the beard questions. Here's a better pic of the beard. Usually it is a bit cleaner than this; I am purposely growing it out to silly lengths. I want to see how much worse my wife will tolerate it. "No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair." -General George S. Patton
Yay! Passive aggressive facial hair. |
Not really. It's a joke more than anything. "No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair." -General George S. Patton
Here are some other snapshots from my life: Jeep wreck. Jeep wreck 2. Jeep wreck 3. My chickens at 7 days old. My rooster almost full grown. "No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair." -General George S. Patton

That damn thing is ugly. "The Square who is not Cool with the double dipping pecker!"
So, did you mail those DVDs out? Just wondering. "The Square who is not Cool with the double dipping pecker!"
I'd have to check with the missus, but she said she would mail them for me today. If you haven't gotten an email with a tracking number, then probably not. "No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair." -General George S. Patton
Hey look, it's Jibble's dad! |
I never saw a tracking number. No problem, was just curious. "The Square who is not Cool with the double dipping pecker!"
So that's what we're left with, guys posting huge pictures of their cocks and a bunch of underage chicks they own. |
m0nty, that was genuinely witty. "No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair." -General George S. Patton
