Halo To Mac
July 19th 2000, 18:17 CEST by andy According to a report on Blue's News, Apple CEO Steve Jobs has announced at MacWorld that Halo, the title being developed by Microsoft-owned Bungie, will be released for the Mac. This means that the conclusion of my June 19th story about Halo was incorrect, and I offer my apologies to Bungie. There is no definite word on the PC version of Halo, but with the game's release now being confirmed for both Xbox and Mac, it seems likely that a PC version will appear at some point. Another item on Blue's News reports that all future Microsoft games will be released for the Mac, as will some of the company's existing PC titles, such as Age of Kings and MS Flight Simulator. Update: It has been confirmed that Halo will indeed be released on the PC. |

Damn it, i want to pull a trigger when I kill something</QUOTE> Someone should modify it. Imagine plaing with a gun (infrared, of course!). I suppose it would be nice. Joystick is nice for flight sims, but I don't play any. It sucks for everything else. Even worse: one friend of mine plays all fps with his gamepad. Damn, how it sucks! Everyone kicks his ass in every game, but he still sticks to it. Strange kinda guy... |

That character in AvP had next to no controls, and it was just suited for using a joystick. (Crawling on all surfaces, etc.) It's also the only time I've ever seen a gamepad being used effectively for an FPS. Who the hell wants to use one normally? (Let's not even talk about those godawful console FPS games.) -- Dethstryk Damage Gaming |

Well, he's probably very talented or he trained really hard... I just can't use gemepads. I tried it a few times for some racing games and I continuosly lost every single game. I have a very good pad at home, but it's covered with 2" dust by now :-) It's a shame, but none of my friends were/are interested in AvP, so I never tried it in MP (and it wouldn't work very well online, dunno why)... |

He does spend most of his time on console games however, so that must have been it. <quote>It's a shame, but none of my friends were/are interested in AvP, so I never tried it in MP (and it wouldn't work very well online, dunno why)... </quote> You're missing out. Some of the most exciting multiplayer experience I have ever had were because of that game, and I'm sure a lot of people can agree. -- Dethstryk Damage Gaming |
