The New, Improved, Better-Than-Ever PC Sports Thread
April 21st 2004, 14:58 CEST by BobJustBob

The old sports thread is too long. It's becoming a threat to older, longer, more established threads. Time for a new one. Enjoy.

This thread is sponsored by a secret global conspiracy of game developers that control society.

Calgary/Detroit's still at 0-0 after 1 period.  5 min to go in the 1st for Philly/Toronto, tied 1-1.

I agree.  Radio DJs have been pimping the holy hell out of that site for the last few weeks.  I can't think of another covert internet ad campaign that's been this successful.  Mini Cooper tried that whole fake robot thing, but it was short-lived and not very interesting.

I'm all for it, but it may have to wait until another time. This trip down here was a bit unexpected, but I'm never going to complain about staying with four girls for a weekend.

Did any of that weather last night hit where you're at? I had to drive through that shit around Gainesville, and combined with my sleep deprivation, it sucked.

Ah, well I wouldn't expect you to blow off four women on my account.  As for the weather, no...unless I just didn't hear it at all.

Getting down here's easy, tho...it's just 35E to 121 South, then hop off at the mall.

I hear you on the knowing directions stuff though, I've lived here for months and still haven't gotten the hang of it.

Hell, I'm just hanging out in their apartment. My reason for coming down here is at work 8 to 5, and all of the others have work/class also, so I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do. Being lazy is nice, though.

I can handle finding anything off 35E no problem, so that doesn't sound bad. Definitely will have to sometime that I'm down, because I'm here pretty frequently.

I've also been reading everything that's been posted on TMOL. Time to go see what those PA fags said.

Sweet deal, just give me a holler if you're in town on a weekday.  I usually take lunches around noonish.

Saying you couldn't care less doesn't mean you don't care.  Not caring, that is total lack of care, would mean you don't say anything.  Clearly that image is wrong.

See, that's why I usually say "I could care less."  People like to act like it's wrong, but really, in a lot of cases it works.

YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH, METAL MAN.

Nope.

I guess saying you "couldn't care less" means that you do care, and it is a conscious choice to care.  Saying you "could care less" means that you level of caring could drop to 0, that is not caring (at least in theory).   That is not possible in the other case.  So, saying you could care less is theoretically less caring than couldn't care less.  Of course, total not caring trumps them both.
