So do we have any proposed dates? The season officially starts on Sept. 8. The weekend before that is Labor Day Weekend, which is dicey for me. The weekend before that is...next weekend. Shaddar said Sunday is no good for him, so that means Saturday the 27th? It's before the 3rd and 4th preseason games which isn't ideal I guess.

We could do it on a weekday, say Sept 1st, or if we have to have all the preseason games finished we could do the 5th or 6th. I'd be open to most weekday evenings, but that has the most likelihood of running in to work and family and all that silly stuff that's not FOOBAW.

I don't know, I guess my preference is the 5th, but I don't think we'll get a perfect date. I think it'll be the usual we just pick a date, half of us show up, then we go from there.

IME the autopicker can pick a very competent starting lineup (the year I won was an autopick). It fails when picking your reserves as it loads up on 5 kickers or so since they score a lot of points. I don't know what CBS did, but I distinctly recall one year you could set up the autopicker to pick the best available at a specific position each round. It sucks that went away. But champions are won/lost on the waiver wire.

Looks like this Sunday might be our best bet? Maybe something like 1 PM Pacific / 4 PM Eastern / 6 AM Sydney.

I don't mind going with a weeknight either if that would work better, something like Thursday night Sept 1.
