Sports thread for 2011-2012, at the very least given how long topics stick on the front page.

This could actually be an interesting first couple picks, what with Peyton Manning injured and Chris Johnson holding out.  I have no idea who to draft, aside from watching the 49ers games and bits and pieces of other games, I have no idea what's going on with anyone.  Who will be good?  Who will suddenly suck?  Hell, who is even on what team?  The lockout totally killed my offseason interest in football, so I'm still out of touch.

Yea, I'm pretty out of touch too. I'm not sure how to draft and haven't read anything about anybody. Throw in that mix Arian Foster pulled a hammy, who's number 1 is pretty hazy.

Anyway, championships are won on the waiver wire.

I'm pretty sure I'm taking AP with the first pick, FYI.

Dammit!!!!

I really have no choice but to pick Foster if AP is gone. And then pick his backup later I guess.

I'm going to have the best paragraph in a draft analysis.

Speaking of, I just realized having our draft Thursday robs me of precious football analysis to figure out how high I should draft Ryan Mallett

Flex. If you go to 'my team' you'll see the roster slots. Basically QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, K, D/ST and a RB/WR/TE. I forget how many reserves we get.

Also, I still don't know what to do about Foster. I am of two minds. AP will be gone, so I am either drafting Foster, who could never be right this season. Or I could skip him and get Johnsen, who may miss a few games at the very least...

I am thinking I can't pass Foster up. Even if it means a wasted pick in the long run, it would be better than passing and watch him tear it up this season...

Both Foster and Johnson scare the crap out of me. Foster's hamstring is turning into the "lingering" category which sounds disastrous to me, and Johnson seems to me that he's going to be even more injury prone combining the lockout plus his hold out. Peterson is the safest bet out of all of these guys.

The hardest part about writing articles for the PCFFL is coming up with a headline that's shorter than their ridiculous character limit.  If I said "Redbeards Owner" or "Paul Montgomery" there wasn't enough left to say what he did.  It's like super-twitter.

Given the safestest pick of the top three RBs is Peterson. Now someone tell McBain to let me have him.

I did a mock draft yesterday and I think even though it mostly useless, it did open my eyes to how I should be drafting a bit. Got a new strategy ready to roll.

See you future losers at the draft tonight!

There exists a person named Montario Hardesty? An actual person as opposed to a character from bad fiction writing?

So draft order would be:
1. McBain
2. Perkins
3. yot
4. Trunks
5. eggy
6. Deth
7. Wudi
8. Shadarr
9. jj
10. lwf
11. Poof
12. m0nty

I'm putting Deth first as he's been itching to get in for a couple years now.

I'm in the draft room and this totally isn't the order that it's showing me. Yes, I'm 5 hours early since I wanted to check it out and I saw the link for it.
