We'll go with Thursday night at 7 Pacfiic / 10 Eastern / Fri 12 PM Sydney Sounds good to me. Lets make sure we put this notice up everywhere...so I don't forget! :P "programmers talk from a very deep gnome cavern, full of gold mechanics" - wisdom from the ancients

This could actually be an interesting first couple picks, what with Peyton Manning injured and Chris Johnson holding out. I have no idea who to draft, aside from watching the 49ers games and bits and pieces of other games, I have no idea what's going on with anyone. Who will be good? Who will suddenly suck? Hell, who is even on what team? The lockout totally killed my offseason interest in football, so I'm still out of touch. "I hope you one day decide to smarten the fuck up so I can stand to look at your posts." - gaggle
Yea, I'm pretty out of touch too. I'm not sure how to draft and haven't read anything about anybody. Throw in that mix Arian Foster pulled a hammy, who's number 1 is pretty hazy. Anyway, championships are won on the waiver wire. <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.
I'm pretty sure I'm taking AP with the first pick, FYI. "The buyer of a [credit default swap] does not need to own the underlying security or other form of credit exposure; in fact the buyer does not even have to suffer a loss from the default event." WHEEEE!
Dammit!!!! I really have no choice but to pick Foster if AP is gone. And then pick his backup later I guess. "programmers talk from a very deep gnome cavern, full of gold mechanics" - wisdom from the ancients
You have no choice? You have more choices than anyone other than Mcbain. "I hope you one day decide to smarten the fuck up so I can stand to look at your posts." - gaggle

Thank you, Captain Obvious! "programmers talk from a very deep gnome cavern, full of gold mechanics" - wisdom from the ancients

And these posts are why I love that trunks put me at the sixth pick. \"Making love to a woman is like working on an assembly line. No matter how good you are at it, you\'ll eventually be replaced by a foreigner or a machine.\"
I'm 9th? I don't remember doing that well last year. My memory must be fuzzy. |
You made the playoffs. |
A look at last year's draft: eggbert's analysis Cheesy's 'analysis' |
Love the passive aggressive quotes, Trunks. You'll be the first Kotite of the week! <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.
haha, didn't notice until Cheesy pointed it out. "The buyer of a [credit default swap] does not need to own the underlying security or other form of credit exposure; in fact the buyer does not even have to suffer a loss from the default event." WHEEEE!
I'm going to have the best paragraph in a draft analysis. Speaking of, I just realized having our draft Thursday robs me of precious football analysis to figure out how high I should draft Ryan Mallett \"Making love to a woman is like working on an assembly line. No matter how good you are at it, you\'ll eventually be replaced by a foreigner or a machine.\"
I plan on showing up for the draft this year. Which means I will need another excuse instead of the autodrafter giving me five kickers... "programmers talk from a very deep gnome cavern, full of gold mechanics" - wisdom from the ancients
Just don't draft the Texans in the first round. That's what I'm doing. Wade fist bump. \"Making love to a woman is like working on an assembly line. No matter how good you are at it, you\'ll eventually be replaced by a foreigner or a machine.\"
The Foster says I might have to break that policy... "programmers talk from a very deep gnome cavern, full of gold mechanics" - wisdom from the ancients
Oh that's fine. I'm talking Texans D/ST. All mine, baby. \"Making love to a woman is like working on an assembly line. No matter how good you are at it, you\'ll eventually be replaced by a foreigner or a machine.\"
eggy will likely snipe them off before you can get them if they're still out there in round 5. |
We using Flex or Standard roster? Zep-- w0rd up!
Flex. If you go to 'my team' you'll see the roster slots. Basically QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, K, D/ST and a RB/WR/TE. I forget how many reserves we get. <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.
oh jebus..the guys in the mock drafts are such assholes...*A KICKER IN ROUND 8...WHO DOES THAT..I"M LEAVING!!!! WAA WAAWAA..along with a few me toos Zep-- *or, i may suck at this :) w0rd up!

People who take mock drafts too seriously are worthy of trolling. |

That reminds me, I need to write up an article. "I hope you one day decide to smarten the fuck up so I can stand to look at your posts." - gaggle
Right, done. Can non-PCFFL people see this? "I hope you one day decide to smarten the fuck up so I can stand to look at your posts." - gaggle
Yes. |
If they can't, I screencapped it: http://i.imgur.com/uSk7D.png |
Guess I didn't have to...but in case Shadarr edits it after a m0nty payoff, we'll have the original evidence! |
Yes. If I go to pcrap.football.cbssports.com it asks for a login but I can view the article from the direct link. Good stuff. BUYBUYBUY
Someone taking a defense and kicker in anything but the last two rounds is the type of person I like to draft against! \"Making love to a woman is like working on an assembly line. No matter how good you are at it, you\'ll eventually be replaced by a foreigner or a machine.\"
That is good stuff, Shadarr. Mainly because those were my exact thoughts you had at the end... "programmers talk from a very deep gnome cavern, full of gold mechanics" - wisdom from the ancients
I took D first and made it to the playoffs last year. |
I'll probably do it again this year as well. |
Because I've done it that way three times now and I love tradition. |
Also, I still don't know what to do about Foster. I am of two minds. AP will be gone, so I am either drafting Foster, who could never be right this season. Or I could skip him and get Johnsen, who may miss a few games at the very least... I am thinking I can't pass Foster up. Even if it means a wasted pick in the long run, it would be better than passing and watch him tear it up this season... "programmers talk from a very deep gnome cavern, full of gold mechanics" - wisdom from the ancients
Both Foster and Johnson scare the crap out of me. Foster's hamstring is turning into the "lingering" category which sounds disastrous to me, and Johnson seems to me that he's going to be even more injury prone combining the lockout plus his hold out. Peterson is the safest bet out of all of these guys. \"Making love to a woman is like working on an assembly line. No matter how good you are at it, you\'ll eventually be replaced by a foreigner or a machine.\"
The hardest part about writing articles for the PCFFL is coming up with a headline that's shorter than their ridiculous character limit. If I said "Redbeards Owner" or "Paul Montgomery" there wasn't enough left to say what he did. It's like super-twitter. "I hope you one day decide to smarten the fuck up so I can stand to look at your posts." - gaggle
Less than 24 hours until draft time. |
I'm taking Montario Hardesty with the first pick. "The buyer of a [credit default swap] does not need to own the underlying security or other form of credit exposure; in fact the buyer does not even have to suffer a loss from the default event." WHEEEE!
Given the safestest pick of the top three RBs is Peterson. Now someone tell McBain to let me have him. I did a mock draft yesterday and I think even though it mostly useless, it did open my eyes to how I should be drafting a bit. Got a new strategy ready to roll. See you future losers at the draft tonight! "programmers talk from a very deep gnome cavern, full of gold mechanics" - wisdom from the ancients
There exists a person named Montario Hardesty? An actual person as opposed to a character from bad fiction writing? She's probably had sex with like 4 different guys by now and has no idea who he is anymore, his face lost in a memory sea of dicks.
Isn't your name some sort of ridiculous Dutch monstrosity? |
Yes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montario_Hardesty |
Hardesty is on my Madden 12 fantasy franchise and because he's done some good for me, I'm drafting him with my 2nd pick. \"Making love to a woman is like working on an assembly line. No matter how good you are at it, you\'ll eventually be replaced by a foreigner or a machine.\"
Chris Johnson's draft stock just shot up. He apparently signed a 50+ million contrat, 30-something guaranteed. \"Making love to a woman is like working on an assembly line. No matter how good you are at it, you\'ll eventually be replaced by a foreigner or a machine.\"

#120 by Trunks So draft order would be: 1. McBain 2. Perkins 3. yot 4. Trunks 5. eggy 6. Deth 7. Wudi 8. Shadarr 9. jj 10. lwf 11. Poof 12. m0nty I'm putting Deth first as he's been itching to get in for a couple years now. I'm in the draft room and this totally isn't the order that it's showing me. Yes, I'm 5 hours early since I wanted to check it out and I saw the link for it. <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.
Yeah, it's showing me this, reading it left to right: 1. McBain 2. Me 3. Yot 4. Shadarr 5. Trunks 6. Perkins 7. Zep 8. Egg 9. lwf 10. Cheesey 11. m0nty 12. jj \"Making love to a woman is like working on an assembly line. No matter how good you are at it, you\'ll eventually be replaced by a foreigner or a machine.\"
Hmmm... I guess we'll see if I agonized over the second pick for nothing! Also, I really hope Montario makes it big so we can hear his name a lot. That's a fantastic name. "programmers talk from a very deep gnome cavern, full of gold mechanics" - wisdom from the ancients

M0nty should be last and I believe I should be second to last since we played in the final? |
