I kinda feel like you're saying that without realizing how many employees these teams actually employ. It certainly is not on the level of IBM or GM or anything.

Huh?

What does the size of the corporation have to do with anything? Are you suggesting we're not talking about hundreds of people here?

I don't know what I was talking about. Certainly not wondering outloud whether they qualified as a large corporation.

It doesn't have to be a large corporation for it to not care about it's employees. The more money the corp. makes, the more fuckage it likes to deliver to it's employees. Not all corps, but that's the general rule of them.

If that's what you were asking...

Italy eliminated Canada, in Canada.

A baseball tourney like the WBC is a bit of a crap shoot with small samples and all that, but, the Canucks bit the big one.

Oh, did anyone see the Dwayne Wade highlights from last night's 2OT game. That steal/game winner is something that comes out of the 'practicing baskets and making up your own game-winning scenario' handbook. D-Wade for MVP.

And, m0nty, good think for the players you didn't beat Colombia, because you know after losing to Australia, some heads would literally be rolling after a bad, embarassing loss like that.

Yeah, if this was hockey it would be a national crisis.  But it's not, so no one cares.

Witnesses in the house heard Jones say "why did you pee on me Pooh Bear?" A few moments later, the witness heard the son say "Mama you done stabbed me."

I'm surprisingly tied for second, though there isn't much gap between most of the non-jj people. I think I need Pittsburgh to win it all since I saw only two of us that picked them, and it would probably help if North Carolina choked in the Final Four or earlier, since a ton of you picked them as champion. I haven't done the math or anything though. Pitt has looked shaky so far, but there have been teams that did that the first weekend then put it together the last two.

Speaking of One Shining Moment, the Rockets are in second place! For a day at least.Conference places 3, 5, and 8 are also in the same division, so it's real easy to go from 2nd to 7th, or worse. Just one badly timed losing streak and you're done. Meanwhile, the Lakers are 17 games ahead have clinched their division. Fuckers.

Two firsts, a third and a QB means anything less than HOF-worthy performance and the Bears got jobbed.

Well, you never know.  He did make the Pro Bowl (although obviously it should've been Rivers) and the Broncos were terrible last year.  But I'm really fucking relieved right now that it's the Bears and not the Niners mortgaging the future to take a chance on an unproven crybaby with a 17-20 record.

the bears got good a good qb, which is something they haven't had in forever...but do they have a good o line? do they have good wrs? as good as cutler may be, he can't play all of those positions.

I also enjoyed the reveal that the offensive coordinator for the Bears once revoked a college scholarship away from Cutler, forcing him to go to a different school than he wanted.
