It's that time of the year again! I've created the PC March Madness NCAA Bracket on Yahoo!, and it's open to all. Use the following URL to join: http://tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com/t1/register/joinprivategroup_assign_team?GID=29979&P=mandog Password, if asked, is the last 6 letters of the above URL. Also, if you were in it last year, the system reinvited you. 52 Weeks and Something's On Movie Blog
Note: * You cannot make your picks until the tournament field is set on Sunday, March 15. LOSE |
Yeah, but you can sign up for the group, bitchlips. Which I see you did. Good for you. 52 Weeks and Something's On Movie Blog
I will undoubtedly forget to make my picks, jjz style. |

The Keith & The Girl podcast had a bloke on a week or two ago who was a writer for the Onion. However, he didn't write the articles, just the headlines. Apparently the headlines come mostly from standup comics, which the paid permanent staff then write articles for. A weird way to do it. No wonder the articles are often so crappy in comparison to the awesome headline. |

Last Friday at midnight the new Jets coach along with two assistants were camped outside a players house to recruit him as soon as the free agency signing period began. They ended up signing him to a $48,000,000 contract. Yesterday the Jets forced all business operations employees to take a two week unpaid furlough during June. This is from a team that sells out every home game, and operates with a multi-billion dollar TV deal that has not seen any reduction in revenue. What a fucking joke. <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.

Wait a second...are you saying that large corporations don't give a shit about the little guy? That is unexpected... "some of those words want to be other words." - LP

I kinda feel like you're saying that without realizing how many employees these teams actually employ. It certainly is not on the level of IBM or GM or anything. |
Greg (#142): I kinda feel like you're saying that without realizing how many employees these teams actually employ. It certainly is not on the level of IBM or GM or anything. Huh? What does the size of the corporation have to do with anything? Are you suggesting we're not talking about hundreds of people here? "some of those words want to be other words." - LP

I don't know what I was talking about. Certainly not wondering outloud whether they qualified as a large corporation. |
It doesn't have to be a large corporation for it to not care about it's employees. The more money the corp. makes, the more fuckage it likes to deliver to it's employees. Not all corps, but that's the general rule of them. If that's what you were asking... "some of those words want to be other words." - LP

The Buffalo Bills? Dear God.. |
It was crazy yesterday, the Netherlands beat Dominican Republic in the WBC. <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.
I have joined the NCAA bracket. |
So yottie... Australia beat Mexico 17-7 with the mercy rule applied. Which is what happens to little bitches when they get slapped. What you got to say to that, esse? |
Italy eliminated Canada, in Canada. A baseball tourney like the WBC is a bit of a crap shoot with small samples and all that, but, the Canucks bit the big one. <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.

Oh, did anyone see the Dwayne Wade highlights from last night's 2OT game. That steal/game winner is something that comes out of the 'practicing baskets and making up your own game-winning scenario' handbook. D-Wade for MVP. 52 Weeks and Something's On Movie Blog
And, m0nty, good think for the players you didn't beat Colombia, because you know after losing to Australia, some heads would literally be rolling after a bad, embarassing loss like that. 52 Weeks and Something's On Movie Blog
Yeah, like Mexico doesn't have a thriving drug trade. |
CheesyPoof (#150): A baseball tourney like the WBC is a bit of a crap shoot with small samples and all that, but, the Canucks bit the big one. Yeah, if this was hockey it would be a national crisis. But it's not, so no one cares. Witnesses in the house heard Jones say "why did you pee on me Pooh Bear?" A few moments later, the witness heard the son say "Mama you done stabbed me."
jjohnsen, did you forget to make your picks for the PC hoops thing? <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.
Damn. I did a bracket on Facebook and totally forgot about the Yahoo bracket. |
I tried making my picks but the Flash thing wouldn't load, so all I could do was select all the favourites. :( |
And the diffrence between that and years past is.....??? 52 Weeks and Something's On Movie Blog
Woo! First place after day one. Chunk took the big hit in the Illinois upset since he had them in his final four. That sucks. <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.
I had Western Kentucky in all my brackets. 52 Weeks and Something's On Movie Blog
Holy hell, three Utah teams all out in the first round. |
Yeah, my bracket is busted, thank you Wake Forest. |
#163 by eggbert Yeah, my bracket is busted, thank you Wake Forest. Not as busted as Gabe's, he had them going to the finals. What a crappy day yesterday was. Chunk is in first, but it won't last for long. <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.
My Sun Devils won, so I'm happy. Too bad Utah ruined my joy. 52 Weeks and Something's On Movie Blog

Woo I'm first in the NCAA bracket! Suck that, bitches! |
Pretty boring tournament actually, Arizona the only seed lower than 5 to reach the round of 16. |
#166 by m0nty Woo I'm first in the NCAA bracket! Suck that, bitches! You disqualified yourself when you said weren't allowed to make picks, even adding a sad emoticon: I tried making my picks but the Flash thing wouldn't load, so all I could do was select all the favourites. :( <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.
Cheesy- Remember, though, that's the patented m0nty way of picking things anyway (always pick the favorite), so he's probably where he should be. 52 Weeks and Something's On Movie Blog

What's that I hear, some losers talking? Yeah, sounds like loser talk alright. Losers. |
Only JJ is a loser right now. |
I'm surprisingly tied for second, though there isn't much gap between most of the non-jj people. I think I need Pittsburgh to win it all since I saw only two of us that picked them, and it would probably help if North Carolina choked in the Final Four or earlier, since a ton of you picked them as champion. I haven't done the math or anything though. Pitt has looked shaky so far, but there have been teams that did that the first weekend then put it together the last two. |
Actually, only a few of you picked North Carolina, I must have been looking at the wrong line, or dimension or something. In any case, go Pitt, and Fuck Duke! |
Speaking of One Shining Moment, the Rockets are in second place! For a day at least.Conference places 3, 5, and 8 are also in the same division, so it's real easy to go from 2nd to 7th, or worse. Just one badly timed losing streak and you're done. Meanwhile, the Lakers are 17 games ahead have clinched their division. Fuckers. |
I think that's my first HATTRICK, and in the sports thread too. Back to the roots and all. I apologize to those that saw four new posts and expected something interesting. |

I want my money back. <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.

So, I see Jay Cutler's going to the Bears. 52 Weeks and Something's On Movie Blog
Two firsts, a third and a QB means anything less than HOF-worthy performance and the Bears got jobbed. Witnesses in the house heard Jones say "why did you pee on me Pooh Bear?" A few moments later, the witness heard the son say "Mama you done stabbed me."
And Jay Cutler isn't going into the HOF. |
Well, you never know. He did make the Pro Bowl (although obviously it should've been Rivers) and the Broncos were terrible last year. But I'm really fucking relieved right now that it's the Bears and not the Niners mortgaging the future to take a chance on an unproven crybaby with a 17-20 record. Witnesses in the house heard Jones say "why did you pee on me Pooh Bear?" A few moments later, the witness heard the son say "Mama you done stabbed me."
Poor Brandon Marshall. A promising career cut down by a bad QB trade. |
Jay Cutler will break a leg before the end of summer. Game Developers: Don't forget the zombie monkeys.
