Jack Black is awesome. Granted, he's the same character in every movie he's in, but so are Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.

Flame away!

Watch "School of Rock". The guy is full of passion. And crazy.

The best thing Jack Black ever did was get his arm blown off in The Jackal, he's annoyed me in everything else.  And School Of Rock sucked, it's one of those uplifting movies for 8-14 year olds that are just saccharine and patronising for grown-ups.

School of Rock is great. You go back to reading Nietzsche or watching Lawrence of Arabia.

I can't think of anything I've liked Jack Black in.  Except that Spiderman spoof with Sarah Michelle Geller for the MTV awards.

School of Rock wasn't particularly good, either. In fact, I'd say it was pretty much one of the epitomes of schlock. I mean, child actors, and so many of them, and in so prominent roles...?! Jesus fucking Christ!

anager, that was the whole point of the movie; that sometimes, children can rock too. Who cares if it's schlock as long as it is entertaining. I've seen much worse films that took themselves way more serious than this one did.

So you're trying to become PC's guy with horrible taste in movies rather than PC's racist?  Unbeknownst to you, you can be both.

That reminds me of a racist film review site that was linked here years ago (I can't find the direct link, but here are some excerpts). It like film criticism from a KKK perspective or something, so in addition to reviewing the films on normal criteria, they also judged them based on how they portrayed whites relative to blacks and jews etc. Unintentional hilarity ensued because they will dock Star Wars a few points for promoting zionist conspiracies and so forth.

That reminds me of a racist film review site that was linked here years ago (I can't find the direct link, but here are some excerpts).

Hmmm...I didn't catch that link last time around.  Some of those reviews are definite weaksauce and funny like Lost in Translation:

Nothing much happens but it is a good movie, with style and caring and it's a White movie of Whites in Japan, Japanese are alien, but not hostile…..And, the best part, I notice the complete absence of Jews anywhere. Can't feel or sense the Jew in direction, in actors, in the characters around. I guess that was why the film was set in Japan.

But some of 'em are pretty astute.  That one guy caught the Ayn Rand-shness of The Incredibles and followed it to a solid conclusion and this line from the Hero review is also quite sharp:

Anyone who appreciates the work of Leni Riefenstahl or Sergei Eisenstein should see this movie. It's artfully executed nationalist propaganda with popular appeal

I know some neo-nazis that are quite fond of American History X.  One of the problems with the movie is that it's only a couple platitudes away from being a pro-white power movie.

When people in America talk about "white power", do they mean anyone who is white, or white US-AMERICANS only? Are those people against everybody with non-white skin colour or also against anyone who is not American PERIOD?

Umm, do you know many neo-nazis?

Yeah, being a punk (and for a brief period, a skin) and being from a rural area, I ran into quite a few of the local Klan and boneheads.

When people in America talk about "white power", do they mean anyone who is white, or white US-AMERICANS only?

This is actually a little tricky.  The Klan was originally against non-whites (latinos, blacks, etc), southern Europeans (Italians, Greeks, etc.), Jews and Catholics.  The Neo-Nazis were pretty lenient when it came to Southern Europeans and Catholics (Neo-Nazi's were originally based heavily in the Northeast) and the Klan withdrew their ban against these people officially in the 90's.  So, essentially, it's against every non-white and/or non-Christian people.

As for non-Americans (skinheads - racist or not - take a point of pride of being strongly patriotic), White Power folk still tend to think poorly of Southern Europeans, distrust Eastern Europeans and strongly support Northern Europeans.  Scotish and Irish are often held in such high esteem as to be fetishistic.

German crappers, I need to know what this says.

I'm not German, but since none of the German crappers answered so far, I will:

At the top it says: "You can't always recognize a Nazi at first glance".
Below that in smaller white type, it says: "Acting against right (as in right wing) instead of looking away".
And right above the picture in light green: "Now. For tomorrow."
