Greg (#98): Both. Although I expect the remake of the NES game to be out first. Both is not an acceptable answer to the question asked nor is the timeline discussion. Sorry, LOSE. "Thug means never having to say you're sorry." - UTurn
Neither. "I don't like story in games." - Soren Johnson

Both sounds like a perfectly reasonable answer to me. I have 84 events until I get the Burnout Elite license. By the time I do that hopefully GTA IV will be out. <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.
On the PC? "Action stars of two decades ago shot .44 bullets out of their cocks. Honestly, if me and Charles Bronson were in the same room I'd kill myself just to make sure he didn't hurt me."

I have 84 events until I get the Burnout Elite license. By the time I do that hopefully GTA IV will be out. You don't get sick of driving around, huh? Witnesses in the house heard Jones say "why did you pee on me Pooh Bear?" A few moments later, the witness heard the son say "Mama you done stabbed me."
Just like you don't get sick of playing a fake guitar. <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.

Zing? "Action stars of two decades ago shot .44 bullets out of their cocks. Honestly, if me and Charles Bronson were in the same room I'd kill myself just to make sure he didn't hurt me."
I get sick of everything. I almost never play two similar games in a row. With Rock Band it's taking longer because of the drums and because I'm playing Overlord at the same time. Witnesses in the house heard Jones say "why did you pee on me Pooh Bear?" A few moments later, the witness heard the son say "Mama you done stabbed me."

I get sick of everything. Friend! " It's a mystery! You love those! Where are you going?" - Hugin

I really wanted to say that in the voice of Mongo, but text y'know. " It's a mystery! You love those! Where are you going?" - Hugin

Here, take these: [][/] #10 - Why not both come out of a window?
Planetcrap's gayest troll: ME! "I've always viewed masturbation as a pretty positive thing."
- Warren Marshall |
Your reward is a bag of dicks. Enjoy. Will you change your icon to a rainbow dog now? Witnesses in the house heard Jones say "why did you pee on me Pooh Bear?" A few moments later, the witness heard the son say "Mama you done stabbed me."
I was going to say somebody needed to step up now that Creole Ned's absent, but apparently got beaten to the punch. I'm not surprised it was Shadarr, though. #10 - Why not both come out of a window?
I have the quick fingers. Witnesses in the house heard Jones say "why did you pee on me Pooh Bear?" A few moments later, the witness heard the son say "Mama you done stabbed me."
How about this[/img] instead? "I've always viewed masturbation as a pretty positive thing."
- Warren Marshall |
Now now Shadarr, let's not confine Gunp01nt to the rainbow dog ghetto. He's an unique and beautiful snowflake. A rainbow trout, maybe. |
Jesus. this "I've always viewed masturbation as a pretty positive thing."
- Warren Marshall |
That is indeed far gayer than any rainbow. But it wouldn't look like much at 42x42. Witnesses in the house heard Jones say "why did you pee on me Pooh Bear?" A few moments later, the witness heard the son say "Mama you done stabbed me."

I am Dingle, and I shall prevail. Today, the best stories: tomorrow, THE WORLD. |

An evvyding innit, chico! "Action stars of two decades ago shot .44 bullets out of their cocks. Honestly, if me and Charles Bronson were in the same room I'd kill myself just to make sure he didn't hurt me."
so folks, whats this Audiosurf game about then? |
Dingle (#119): I am Dingle, and I shall prevail. Today, the best stories: tomorrow, THE WORLD. So what are we going to do tomorrow night, Dingle? "Thug means never having to say you're sorry." - UTurn

#121 by Ds_ so folks, whats this Audiosurf game about then? You surf your mp3 files. It's great. |
Hell, those Olsen Twins really don't look to bad after all... "Action stars of two decades ago shot .44 bullets out of their cocks. Honestly, if me and Charles Bronson were in the same room I'd kill myself just to make sure he didn't hurt me."
That's years old and fake. "I don't like story in games." - Soren Johnson
Bob's right. They don't eat enough food to have curves like that. |
Thought it was real. Up goes the zipper. "Action stars of two decades ago shot .44 bullets out of their cocks. Honestly, if me and Charles Bronson were in the same room I'd kill myself just to make sure he didn't hurt me."
That doesn't even look remotely real. |
So I tried audiosurf. Wow, I think I sprained something. Maybe starting with Lamb of God 'Now youve got something to die for' was a bad choice. Its very zen and zonelike, dodging blocks and building color patterns, me likey. Oh and elite mode mono, Blues Brothers Everybody Needs Somebody is frenetic. Well worth the ten bucks. |

So, I'm considering getting a new laptop and my first choice is to get a Mac. It would be a plain old Macbook, nothing fancy, but requirements are that it must run Win XP. I read that boot camp comes out of the box, so that's OK, but I'd hate to be forced to running it in XP all the time. So I read about Parallels and wonder if anyone has any experience with that? Would a Macbook (I'd get 2GB ram and 160GB HD) be OK with running this? Plus, I'd want to use the copy of XP from the old laptop on the Mac and re purpose the laptop for something else. Can I sue that copy of XP? It's not like I could buy a new copy of XP anyway. <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.
My Macbook Pro runs XP fine in Parallels. I play Peggle on it all the time. I'm guessing you wouldn't have any problems, though the graphics card in the Macbook isn't great, so I'm not sure about gaming. |
I have a white Macbook CheesyPoof, and it runs XP in Parallels quite a bit. I mainly use it for IE testing of webpages/apps, I've never done any gaming or anything with it. It runs admirably. When I got my white Macbook, you couldn't configure them to have 3 gig of ram on the apple website, only 2. You can however put 3 in, and RAM is dirt cheap (unless you buy it from the apple website). In my opinion, it's worth doing if you are going to be running XP in a VM quite a bit. More information about 3gig RAM in macbooks. |
I've read here and there rumours of a hardware update for the MBP. Stuff like, 'within the month' and whatnot. Anyone know anything more substantial? Has this already happend or is it just a bunch of bullcrap? |
Well, I wouldn't use it for gaming, so that's fine. Looking at this laptop now, it's only a 40 GB HD so I don't think that I'd even need to 160 for XP. It'll be use for some light work, the wifes homework, a docking station for our palms, iPod, and then internet & emailing. <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.
Currently I have the laptop set up to a printer shared by my desktop, so am I correct in assuming that, outside of the virtual XP, this setup wouldn't work on a Mac? <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.
I'd love one of these. "Action stars of two decades ago shot .44 bullets out of their cocks. Honestly, if me and Charles Bronson were in the same room I'd kill myself just to make sure he didn't hurt me."
I have one. I like it. |
#135 by CheesyPoof Well, I wouldn't use it for gaming, so that's fine. Looking at this laptop now, it's only a 40 GB HD so I don't think that I'd even need to 160 for XP. It'll be use for some light work, the wifes homework, a docking station for our palms, iPod, and then internet & emailing. I think you are probably right. For reference; I have the 120GB HD in mine, and currently have 17GB free. I have a heap of source code, jar files and other stuff that takes up a fair bit of room. I think I allocated 10GB to the XP vm hard drive. |
#134 by Squeaky I've read here and there rumours of a hardware update for the MBP. Stuff like, 'within the month' and whatnot. Anyone know anything more substantial? Has this already happend or is it just a bunch of bullcrap? rumor is the Mac laptops are getting a slight update tomorrow. |
Fugazi, can you make that laptop boot from an external drive, so you can run Windows on it, or does it only boot from its ROM? "Action stars of two decades ago shot .44 bullets out of their cocks. Honestly, if me and Charles Bronson were in the same room I'd kill myself just to make sure he didn't hurt me."
Cheesy- I don't think you can use an OEM version of XP on the laptop, but I've only done Boot Camp installs with the full (non-OEM) version so I can't verify that. |
Format-you can boot from an external drive quite easily. |
Good stuff. "Action stars of two decades ago shot .44 bullets out of their cocks. Honestly, if me and Charles Bronson were in the same room I'd kill myself just to make sure he didn't hurt me."
I've done oem installs of xp under boot camp, no problem. It just needs to be sp2 to work. I've also used Parallels and VM Ware Fusion. I've found that Fusion works a little better. Funk. |
Good info, Funk. |
I've read here and there rumours of a hardware update for the MBP. Stuff like, 'within the month' and whatnot. Anyone know anything more substantial? Has this already happend or is it just a bunch of bullcrap? According to the Mac Buyer's Guide it's been quite a bit longer then usual between updates of the MBP, and have it classified as "Don't Buy - Updates Soon". That may be where the rumors are based on. |
I saw a kid get hit by a car today. Scary. He seemed alright, but dazed (obviously). They carted him off in an ambulance about 10 minutes later. The moral of the story: look both ways, and use the crosswalk. Lady, people aren't chocolates. But you know what they are, mostly? Bastards. Bastard-coated bastards with bastard filling.
