BEST... Something Or Other... EVER!
October 24th 2007, 19:38 CEST by Hugin Alternate title: Troll Bait 2: Troll Harder Really just a place to put the kind of lazy-but-fun, list-oriented discussion that clogs up all the pop culture oriented media nowadays. Top X lists. Yeah, they're cheap, but you can sometimes get a good classic PLanetcrap discussion/argument/trainwreck going. Movies Starring or Costarring a Black Comedian. Music Videos. Cartoon Opening Sequences/Theme Songs. Hot yet approachable seeming celebrity crushes. Muscle/Pony cars of the 60s and 70s. Dinosaurs. Rank them! |

Hugin, I agree with most of what you said about Cherish except that it had that godawful troll of a mermaid child. Ruined the whole video for me. I think Like a Prayer and Express Yourself are vastly overrated. "when a man knows he is to be hanged in a fortnight, it concentrates his mind wonderfully." Samuel Johnson

It's too hard to explain. You never see animals going through the absurd and often horrible fooleries of magic and religions. Only man behaves with such gratuitous folly. It is the price he has to pay for being intelligent but not, as yet, intelligent enough. --Aldous Huxley

Six Post-apocalyptic books I love to re-read* 1. Swan Song by Robert R. McCammon 2. Alas Babylon by Pat Frank 3. The Road by Cormac McCarthy 4. Battle Circle by Piers Anthony 5. Warday by Witley Strieber 6. The Stand by Stephen King *just because I re-read them all the time doesn't necessarily make them great literature. Battle Circle is total trash, but for some reason I'm hooked, probably because I read it when I was so young. |

#11 by hangedmanAG I think Like a Prayer and Express Yourself are vastly overrated. Like a Prayer tries too hard to push buttons, but Madonna is more beautiful in it than any other video, IMO, and again, some great cinematography. However, my second favorite Madonna video is Lucky Star (The best of her early "ribbon crap in her hair/I'm just some club kid making dance music" videos, and after that...oh, probably Rain or Secret. "Bioshock, sadly, is no Painkiller." - BobJustBob

#23 by jjohnsen Ryslin came back for a day. That was weird. Dethstryk has returned few days after. PlanetCrap has exceeded this semester's quote for reactivated crappers, so it banned Ryslin from accessing PC. PC is self-aware, you know. That, or dethstryk has murdered her to secure the comeback TOTY. |
|
Crappers I'd like to see come back to life/post more often, in no particular order: 1. Hiredgoons 2. Caryn 3. Foody 4. Funk (I know he's kind of around but not often enough) 5. Post-It 6. Chris 7. Desiato "Bioshock, sadly, is no Painkiller." - BobJustBob

Fixed! #3 by Hugin Ten favorite videos ever, in no particular order (not best necessarily, and not most influential, because fuck Thriller, and fuck Chris Cunningham): 1. Big Time, Peter Gabriel 2. Space Lord, Monster Magnet 3. Prison Sex, Tool 4. Take On Me, A-Ha 5. Cherish, Madonna 6. Woo Haa, Busta Rhymes 7. Just a Gigilo, David Lee Roth 8. The Rain, Missy Elliot 9. Bogo's bagoisms. 25. Joker's wang |

Mine was the best "Fixed!" in the history of "Fixed!". <Hugin_len> Basically, cheesy doesn't have awful taste in music, he's simply very white.

Oh yeah. Fixed is definitely better than hattrick, but some GIFs win. |

Top eight things that are awesome about John Woo's (older) movies: 8. At the end, you always feel like you've gained a sudden understanding of Cantonese (which you haven't) 7. Chow Yun-Fat 6. Don't get too much plot in my violence opera 5. Reloading is for pussies 4. Stunt people who'll do anything 3. Bad overdubbing, bad editing and other stuff that would seem ridiculous on western movies, but give HK movies more credibility 2. When motorbikes get shot at while in mid air, their gas tanks explode and they become a huge flying fireball 1. Dual pistols "I've always viewed masturbation as a pretty positive thing."

Speaking of which, Stranglehold for the PS3 just went gold. And if you buy the collector's edition for $70, the full movie Hard Boiled in HD is on the game disc. "I don't like story in games." - Soren Johnson

That would be pretty awesome to watch on a huge HDTV screen. I'll go check whether my friend who owns a 42" HDTV has seen Hardboiled yet. "I've always viewed masturbation as a pretty positive thing."

Gunpoint - thanks, I've wanted to look that post up. But it's still not the same when I read those memes as when I'd be there when it happened, so I won't pretend I'm old-skool crapper even if I'd know all that. We've sold 2 42" Samsung plasma TVs today. It was a funny feeling, since we usually sell 7 notebooks worth that much in maybe 2 months? Also, who's Morn? And where's my Developium, GottDamnit? |

#48 by Max Ten Celebrities I'd Like To Put On A Bus And Then Push The Bus Off A Cliff, And Not A Looney Tunes Cliff, Either: WHERE THE HELL IS CAMERON DIAZ? |

What has Cameron Diaz done lately to warrant pushing off a cliff? "Bioshock, sadly, is no Painkiller." - BobJustBob

I just noticed: 5. Warday by Witley Strieber WTF? That was a terrible book. |
|
Top reasons why I hate my roommate: 1. Coughs up his lungs in the kitchen sink every morning (we wash our food there, asshole!) 2. Makes a general mess and doesn't clean up 3. Always turns pathetically apologetic when you call him on it 4. There's gotta be a better stress relief method than whistling techno songs at the top of your lungs, fucker 5. Offers a bed to friends who are shady, homeless and/or under psychiatric treatment 6. Every time his dad visits him, he treats him with zero respect and invariably ends up shouting at him like a banshee "I've always viewed masturbation as a pretty positive thing."
- Warren Marshall |

Didn't undo all the terrible movies she's done before? |
|
Hugin in #51: What has Cameron Diaz done lately to warrant pushing off a cliff? Amen. Great smile, jiggly, what's not to like? I was hesitant to even put Lindsay Lohan on there; how cliched is it to hate any of those celebritard teens? She's on there because she's fallen so far from the expectations I had for her when I saw The Parent Trap. Fucking bitch. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.
