Brady should be a fantasy power, but I don't have faith in Moss to be a clear #1 and I'm not sure who it would be out of the rest of them. Could be kind of like the Saints last season. |

Do you even understand my reasoning? Scoring quickly = defense gets on the field quicker. Defense weak against the run, which means that teams will run. That takes a lot of time and beats up the defense. Thus making it easier to score. The Eagles had this problem last year until McNabb got hurt. After that they went to a slower paced offense, the defense wasn't on the field as much, and they were able to string a bunch of wins to get into the playoffs. |^^^^^^^^^^^^ |||__

Not only that, but teams that expect to score quickly can be beat by a defense that forces them to grind out the whole length of the field. The Tampa cover 2 (incidentally now run in Indy) is like that. They take away the big play and force you to throw underneath. Teams that are used to getting yardage in big chunks can have a drive die on one dropped pass when they're having to go three downs to make a first down. I'm not sure the Patriots will have that problem, though. Even though Moss isn't a possession receiver, they have some guys who can be and they have been able to run the ball in the past. However, even with a good, balanced offense they will lose a lot of games if their defense can't get off the field. |

Greg I definitely understand your reasoning, but I think you're under estimating how bad the pats defense is going to be. They haven't fully addressed the issue and I didn't heard about their last big holdout on defense yet, but I'm sure they realized the problem and tried to address it. And it's not just Moss driving their offense, as Shadarr says. They completely revamped their receiving core, which was sorely needed. I think they will be a true power house this year. Was perusing the "new features for 2007" thingie on the website, this one should make everyone happy: Transactions after Thursday games - With the NFL adding more and more Thursday games, we understand the impact this has on your fantasy experience. Now, you can add/drop and trade players up until game time on Sundays even if there has been a game on Thursday or Saturday...of course those players who participated in games earlier in the week will be excluded. |

I don't care, as long as players are locked once their team plays even if they were out for the game. Yep, that's still the case. |

Trunks- That's how most of the other leagues I've seen ran it. I personally really don't care, but I think it's a better way to do it because it forces players to be active in running their teams. That way, m0nty doesn't gay up the system by reminding people to check on their specific players because the game is starting in 5 minutes when they've been inactive all week. I watched Aliens, and I didn't even get a lousy t-shirt.

I think the reason most other leagues ran it that way was because the site their hosted on didn't modify their website software to handle that situation...regular Thursday games are just recently becoming a "standard" thing later in the season after all. I would expect similar changes at other websites. We still have the option for locking rosters completely after the first game of the week has started if people bitch enough about it. |

I have jumped from twelve feet and landed on my feet in grass, I've jumped from 50 feet and landed on my feet in water. I don't care to do anything like that ever, ever, again. So it's very easy for me to cringe whenever someone's in a fall like that, anon. I don't expect them to die, but wouldn't be surprised at a broken bone or two. |

What I love about the video is that at the apex of his ascent, everyone in that arena, including him, knew what was going to happen and was waiting for the impact. When I was a kid there was this contraption someone had built over the river, with several floors. The highest one was just under / around five stories up. The kind of silly thing you do once, just for the hell of it, so that you can go, years later, "Yeah, I did that." Although these days you could just be like everyone else on the internet and make shit up, but that's not nearly as fun. |

I jumped from about five feet once and broke my foot in half. Go figure. Current novel word count: 26,800 words (I'm hoping by putting it here it helps motivate me)
