Would you get cybernetic implants?
July 6th 2006, 00:37 CEST by OwenButler Would you get cybernetic implants? To what lengths would you augment yourself with readily available cybernetic implants? Assume cybernetic implants were affordable, painless and invisible. Would you get an eye implant that showed you the correct time for the time zone you are in, in a HUD? Would you get an eye implant that showed a todo list of tasks in your vision which you could create/checkoff using your brain? Would you get an implant that enhanced your vision or hearing? Would you get an implant to correct a chemical imbalance in your brain? Would you get an implant to override your muscle control to drive for you? Reading Peter F Hamilton's Nights Dawn Trilogy got me to thinking: "How amazing would it be to have cybernetic implants?" Assuming you could do anything, how far would you go with augmenting your body with computers/technology? If you have a limit, what is it? Furthermore, why is that the limit? |

#3553 by Squeaky Hmmm... interest in vista increasing. I'll temper that a little by pointing out the media center functions are only part of Home Premium. Of course with MS's continued effort to make as many tard packs as posible Home Basic is rather pointless. |

I was never intending to get Home Basic, anyway. |

Speaking of games, my report card (i.e. stats menu) in Bully tells me that I'm 15% done. I did a couple of side missions and it was fun. It's an easy game. Definitely for kids, but I wonder how many kids would want to play a school game though? I do think that it is GTA for kids. Not in the "have sex to get your health back and kill the bitch to get you money back" way, but in a "here's an open world, do what you want, but there's are few rules and if you break them there are consequences" kind of way. |

Still at 15%. I read a FAQ to skip ahead to see what other side jobs there are. Cutting the grass is boring and very easy, but I can only do that once more in this chapter. Paper deliver was fun, like the pizza delivery mission in GTA but easier. If I was to focus solely on mission, I think I could get thorough a majority in 4-6 hours. Spoilers. I read the FAQ and after you do the last story mission you enter what is called Chapter VI, Endless Summer. Basically you can continue to play in the world and do the side missions that you have left plus any other stuff that the game makes available. Cool. |
