Tidings of Joy!
December 15th 2005, 21:06 CET by Chunkstyle

What are you asking for this year?  What are you buying others?  Why do English people eat puddings?  Why do people buy that album of dogs barking Jingle Bells?  What's your favorite Christmas memory?  Do you believe in Santa Claus, or are you a joyless Scrooge?

She said in an interview that she's rather upset the make-up artists for Pirates of the Caribbean sequels don't have enough time to airbrush cleavage for her like they did for the first movie.

That's disturbing. Just how much are they rushing these movies?

Alba, probably.

Marsh-
Dylan Moran is my new personal got. A pity most of the really good quotes are too long for sigs.

Add a dab of lavender to milk, leave town with an orange, and pretend you’re laughing at it.

If you like the show you should check out Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey's stand-up routines, called "Monster" and "Part Troll", respectively. They're amongst the best stand-up I've seen and now available on DVD!

Better seeded non-private Monster torrent.

"My new personal god! Amongst the best! Available on DVD!" It better be good, you two!

There's also a new series written by the same guy who did Black Books (and Father Ted) called The IT Crowd.  Sadly from watching the first couple of episodes it leaves much to be desired, about the only bright spots being a cool theme tune (by Neil Hannon) and thingy from Brass Eye.  Oh, and a 2 second clip of Fear.

It's not that bad (I like it more than Hyperdrive). Besides, it's got Dean Lerner from Garth Marengi's Darkplace.

Next time on obscure british shows: Who Wants To Marry A Dentist?

Well, Hyperdrive now officially sucks. I had high hopes after episode 4 but the last one simply killed my interest once and forever.

Yeah, I've tried hard to like Hyperdrive but I'm going to have to admit to myself it's just not bringing in the funny.  Shame, but there you go.

Now Who Wants To Marry A Dentist on the other hand, that's a show!

I'd let Garth Marengi's Darkplace eat my first born child. My mutant eye-child.

The episode of Hyperdrive I watched had one laugh-out-loud moment, but then failed to amuse, and I've heard damning things about The IT Crowd, so I'll think I'll give it a miss, even though it has the Man-God that is Chris Morris in a bit part. Talking of which, I just got Brass Eye and The Day Today on DVD. Awesometastic.

What was the opinion on Nathan Barley?

I loved it, though I've never heard of it or actually seen it.

They even accurately modelled the off topic divergence into SUV purchasers and why they are the Great Satan by the third post.  Nice!
