The fuck, did Diebold design the voting on planetcrap? I VOTED NO!!! When LP says he's bringing Armageddon, he brings fucking Armageddon. - Caryn, 6/01/2004
Too much effort. Not playing. |
A vote no is a vote for Bush/Cheney. |
I'll wait till around xmas time. Halo/half life 2 first. Maybe Vampire. Then maybe WoW. I only have so much goddamn time. When LP says he's bringing Armageddon, he brings fucking Armageddon. - Caryn, 6/01/2004
And once again, everyone outside of North America just gets to sit and watch. |
If this thread brings Bailey back from the wilderness, then it is worth it. Otherwise, it is a bitter failure. UAC! Fuck yeah!

He's gone man. Let him go. When LP says he's bringing Armageddon, he brings fucking Armageddon. - Caryn, 6/01/2004
i like how the half-life 2 topic is going to be off the front page before half-life 2 is even released "The people against Bush are REALLY against Bush." - G-Man on Creole Ned
I'd try it out, if I played MMORPGs. Sorry, world. I voted for Kerry...
NEVAR!!! So anyway, there's a new article up on the PCFFL site. UAC! Fuck yeah!
I'm not from the States and I'm entirely playing the game. To be, turn to page 73 - from choose your own adventure Hamlet
Gaggle, every time you post I try to turn to page 73. It's starting to get a bit frustrating. Thanks to UAC, I'm busier than a ten-peckered dog in a fire-hydrant factory!
I'm going to disney world on christmas. much better. |
Myess, where is page 73? That is the question. (booo!, hiiisssss!) To be, turn to page 73 - from choose your own adventure Hamlet

Gaggle, a plague on page 73's house! Thanks to UAC, I'm busier than a ten-peckered dog in a fire-hydrant factory!

I voted yes in hopes that I'd try out WoW. Then I remembered the longest I've ever played a PIG for is 3 weeks (CoH). I couldn't even be bothered to use up my first free month with any of 'em. |
#15 McBain "The Incredibles" is love. Agree. Just saw it this afternoon. Fantastic action sequences, Jason Lee is brilliant, and the premise is executed perfectly. That said, the short before the movie ("Boundin'") was a poor choice. Didn't like it at all. Also, "Cars" isn't really grabbing me very well. Seems kind of below Pixar standards...though I will grant that the teaser trailer for "The Incredibles" was lackluster as well. |
The writing in "The Incredibles" is extremely sharp. They use the comic book and James Bond conventions wonderfully. The action sequences are often quite brilliant and the animation is stunning. I can hardly think of something to criticize about the movie. www.dailyhowler.com is the single most important website that Americans should read every day.

Is there any frontal? |

Any lesbian kissing? Roscoe - Grand Master of the Chicken and Waffle Thing

I also saw Incredibles tonight. Great movie. Little tip though: don't bother staying through the credits for the "outtakes" -- there aren't any. Dood.

I concur about Incredibles. Brad Bird+ Pixar= Love. My favorite Pixar thus far. Highly recommended. There was one character who I wish was in it a wee bit more, but other than that, love. |

As to WoW, I'm still trying to figure out whether it's a game I don't like that has some good things that make it just interesting enough to keep playing, or if it's a game I like with some things I hate that aren't quite enough to make me stop playing. I still realllly dislike the graphics style. I'm still impressed by Blizzard, as always, being thoughtful and thorough about polish, if not perhaps innovation. I know with a certainty I won't be buying the retail version, but the stress beta remains interesting enough to continue for now. |
In gaming news, I bought Ultra Bust-A-Move today. My local EB had it, but Gamestop.com shows it as not shipping until next week. Budget titles get no love. Anyway, once you other people buy it, let me know. If there are several of you, I'll use my Live trial and we can set up some matches. Dood.

I'll pick it up next paycheck. |

ahhhh.... bust a move is such a wonderful game.... ....great memories. UAcomic.com
It's like that all male flinestone episode where Barney fucks the shower. |

Played some of Halo 2 last night (omg warez i sukk) and one thing that struck me about it was that it was Halo. And I mean Halo. Exactly the same gameplay, enemies, weapons, with prettier graphics and this time the locations are different. Definitely some cool moments and nice visuals, but with all the flaws of Halo in there. For instance the times where you run into a number of bad guys that take you over 20 retries to get past without dying, are still present. The suit recharges a lot faster though, which is nice. Also, the ability to dual-wield two weapons at the same time. And Bungie has made sure Halo 2 is a much more cinematic experience. I've had a few dreams where Danny Glover has made a cameo appearance -always in the oddest capacities. Like, for instance, the other night Elvis Costello, Danny Glover, and my best friend from childhood were holding a jam session on an apartment building fire escape. Odd.

I don't think I've really spoiled any plot points or anything in that post. I've had a few dreams where Danny Glover has made a cameo appearance -always in the oddest capacities. Halo = OVERRATED = Halo 2 ...no spoiler for me. |
Loved loved LOVED The Incredibles. My husband and I want to go see it again. And I hated the short before the movie. My favorite pre-Pixar-movie short is the birds on the wire. Spiritual life can be regarded as a course of gradual recovery from the addiction to the peculiar type of awareness that splits everything into subject and object. - George Feuerstein

And Bungie has made sure Halo 2 is a much more cinematic experience. Cinematic = bad. Dood.
Yeah, I agree with Caryn, the short before Incredibles (have you gone to see it yet? It's awesome. Go! Shoo!) "Boundin" was weak. I didn't hate it, it had a few cute moments, but definitely not the best of the Pixar shorts. I plan to see Incredibles with another group of friends this afternoon. |

I voted yes in hopes that I'd try out WoW. Then I remembered the longest I've ever played a PIG for is 3 weeks (CoH). I couldn't even be bothered to use up my first free month with any of 'em. Agreed. COH has been my favorite so far, but even then I only played for 1.5 months. Too much work for so little return. Played some of Halo 2 last night (omg warez i sukk) and one thing that struck me about it was that it was Halo. And I mean Halo. Exactly the same gameplay, enemies, weapons, with prettier graphics and this time the locations are different. You might mean this as a negative, but I'm taking it as a positive. i ain't got no love for the east cost

#23 BobJustBob I also saw Incredibles tonight. Great movie. Little tip though: don't bother staying through the credits for the "outtakes" -- there aren't any. OMG SPOILARZ! |
#25 Hugin I concur about Incredibles. Brad Bird+ Pixar= Love. My favorite Pixar thus far. Highly recommended. There was one character who I wish was in it a wee bit more, but other than that, love. Sammy L, I presume? He was awesome and could have used more screen time. |
Green Peppercorn! |
For bored crappers, you can play it like that thing in the Sunday paper where you try and figure out what's different between the two scenes. |
OMG SPOILARZ! That's not a spoiler, that's a public service. There's nothing to make you feel more stupid then when you tell your friends "wait! There's outtakes!", and you sit there half in and out of your chairs watching names scroll by, and no outtakes appear. |
The closing credits for Incredibles are well done, I found them interesting enough to sit through without "outtakes". But I'm one of those people who watches the credits anyway. |
Now I know what to get Hugin for Christmas this year. The Outtakes Gone Wild! DVD!!! Children are the future. That’s why they must be stopped today.
Nice, Jib. |
#44 Either that, or you give him a copy of Doomed! the DVD that he can .ISO for us. |
Jibble, me thinks you may have a future with Paige Davis and the gang on TLC. Children are the future. That’s why they must be stopped today.
Yeah, Jibble, after all that shit about spoilers, and me seeing it on opening night, I still got spoiled. This goddamn fucking kid, less than 10, was sitting right in front of me and yells out "That's the villian!" the first time he appears. Dood.
